He started his dance training with Joan Magriñá, Vicente Escudero, José de la Vega and Consuelo Sánchez. He was admitted to Institut del Teatre de Barcelona where he learnt from José María Escudero, Karemia Moreno, Emma Maleras, Rosario Contreras and Pilar Cambra. His teachers in classical dance include Aurora Bosch, Mirta Plá, Aurora Pons, Carmina Ocaña, Luis Fuentes and Luc Boy; and in Spanish dance Victoria Eugenia, María Magdalena, Paco Romero, Eloy Pericet and Pedro Azorín. In contemporary dance he worked with Ramón Oller, Lidia Azzopardi and Cesc Gelabert, among others. He also studied with Fernando Bujones, Azari Plisetsky, Peter Schaufus and María de Ávila.
In 1985 María de Ávila asked him to join the Ballet Nacional de España, where he danced the great creations of Mariemma, Pilar López, Antonio Ruiz, Antonio Gades, José Granero, Pedro Azorín, José Antonio, Angel Pericet and Alberto Lorca among others, at the same time working with Miguel Narros, Alfredo Mañas, Adolfo Marsillach, Luis Olmos, Emilio Sagi and La Fura dels Baus.
In 2007 he retired from the stage and Nacho Duato suggested he joined the Compañía Nacional de Danza to work with Tony Fabre at the CND2. In September 2011, at the proposal of José Carlos Martínez, he became artistic coordinator of the CND. In 2014 he returned to the stage to play Sancho Panza, in Don Quijote, by José Carlos Martínez, and the Corregidor in Massine’s El sombrero de tres picos [The Three-Cornered Hat].
Since 2019 he has worked as Executive Assistant of the Ballet Nacional de España, directed by Rubén Olmo.
