Guitarist
Víctor Márquez 'Tomate' is a guitarist from Cordoba who descends from a family of flamenco guitarists known as 'Los Tomates de Córdoba'. He started studying when he was 9 years old with his cousin Juan Manuel Muñoz 'El Tomate'. He continued his studies with his uncle Juan 'El Tomate', who trained him in accompanying cante.
He has worked in many shows both as composer and as performer in different cities worldwide. The companies he has worked for include Rafael Amargo, José Porcel, Manuel Liñán, Rafael Martos, Antonio Canales, Cecilia Gómez, Olga Pericet, Marcos Flores y Olga Pericet, Jesús Carmona, Flamenco Festival de Miguel Marín, Pitingo or La Moneta.
He regularly plays on the tablaos El Flamenco in Tokyo, Las Carboneras, Villa Rosa, Corral de la Pacheca, Casa Patas, Corral de la Morería or Las Tablas, among others.
He has been a guitarist at the Ballet Nacional de España under the directorship of Rubén Olmo since 2019.
