Biography

She started to study dance at an early age and gained her degree from the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza in Sevilla in 1997. That year she joined the Compañía Andaluza, under the directorship of José Antonio, and took part in the opening of the Teatro Real with La vida breve. In 1998 she worked with the companies of María Pagés, Javier Barón, and Juan Andrés Maya.

She later joined the Ballet Nacional de España’s corps de ballet under the directorship of Aída Gómez. In 1999 she was promoted to soloist performing first artist roles in the choreographies Grito, Poeta, Carmen, Bolero, and Concierto de Aranjuez. In 2003, she became first artist under the directorship of Elvira Andrés and under José Antonio, she performed the company’s repertoire until 2010.

In 2006 she was guest artist, along with Joaquín Grilo, in the choreography A solas, created by Grilo for the opening of the Festival de Jerez at the Teatro Villamarta. She was also guest artist with Rafael Amargo in the show Enramblao, worked with Javier Latorre at the Teatro de Córdoba and took part in different shows with José Porcel, Rafael Estévez, Nani Paños, and Gema Morado. She danced the role of Carmen’s spirit in Carmen by Goyo Montero -director of the Staatstheater Nuremberg from 2010 to 2012- which in 2011 she combined with her performances of Carmen in Rafael Aguilar Company on their German and Chinese tours.

In 2012 she worked in Marcos Flores’s show Deflamencas at the Festival de Jerez and in June that year she took part in the opera Carmen, directed by Giancarlo de Mónaco and choreographed by Carlos Vilán at the Masada Festival (Israel).

She has also performed at the tablaos El Patio Sevillano in Sevilla, and Casa Patas in Madrid.

She has been guest principal dancer at the Ballet Nacional de España since 2012.
