World premiere by Ballet Nacional de España on the 24th of June, 1998, Teatro Real (Madrid, Spain).
“I don´t want anybody to think this is a conventional show of Spanish dance or flamenco. But I want to emphasize that their essences are in it, just because this dramatical expression is a part of the Spanish dance dancers. As well as experts in a wide range of different rythms, these dancers express with major naturalness this dramatical intention. Their performance is always emotive, corporeal, and this is something that fits my way of working”.
